We are planning another meet again this year for the 28th st metro cruise. BE SURE to mark saturday the 29th as a day to save for this event. 13,000+ cars and 200,000+ visitors all along 15 miles of 28th street in Grandville - Wyoming - Grand Rapids - Kentwood - and Cascade Twp!

There are tons of cars to be seen at the metro cruise through the day, and we will be having a Nissan/Z-Car meet at Fox Nissan on 28th St. from 11am-3pm I will update this thread as we get more details. Last year was a good turnout with almost 30 Z's through the coarse of the day. The more publicity this event gets the more awesome Z cars we will all be able to see, so please tell everyone in the area you know with a Z or other Nissan/Datsun/infiniti to make an appearance!

Last year was fantastic, we will definitely be there again this year. Hopefully I will have my Z with me at that point. Otherwise I will be pimping a stupid blue GS-R...

I hope that I can make it. Also, I just copied this post over on www.NIODetroit.com so that we can attract more Nissans/ Infiniti's to join us.

I'll be stopping by for sure! Jason, any progress on this meet you'd like to share? You had mentioned on the phone that you were going to try to schedule a time for everyone to show up for a large gathering / cruise / something, any word on that or what will be happening at this event?

I just confirmed with the manager of Fox Nissan that no one has contacted him yet with any details. Sounds to me like Jason got too busy or forgot to finish putting this event together, bummer. The dealership is pretty flexible though so a last minute call would be all it would take to get us a spot cleared on their lot. Keep checking back for any last minute updates... If need be I can make sure it's done. I was planning on checking out some other events this year and just stopping by to chat with the Z club for an hour or so. I usually miss everything else in order to put this together and don't want to do that this year.

I will be there. We should get a thread of who brings what for a cookout.

I actually have an excuse this time. I just re-aquired internet access today. I was moving and had a lapse of 12 days without a place to really "live". I moved everything of mine into a garage, then camped, went to wisconsin to do a hilly 200K (read: brutal) bike race, then moved into the new house. I am still unpacking right now

I was planning on saturday from 11-3 as beeing the official meeting time for the cookout/meet, as that is when the cruise really starts to pick up. Last year people were coming and going all day long anyway, regardless of the actual meeting time.

Anyone have a portable grill? If we can all pitch in a little I am sure we can do something simple like hot dogs/burgers/chips/soda on the cheap?

Last year I saw a lot of cool stuff. I should have one of my Z31 Turbo cars there, most likely my 87

You can usually buy all of that food stuff at Walmart for real cheap.

hey Jason, sorry, I didn't mean to sortakindaalmostprettymuch throw you under the bus on that. I hope your move goes well and that you had fun on your biking excursion. let me know if i can lend a hand w anything. In the past the dealership has offered up their grill for us to use, please call Nick and see if that's ok this year. if they say it's ok I would say that you may want to bring a cylinder of LPG just in case they're low. The grillin' supplies should be pretty easy to wrangle as Sam's Club has awesome bulk prices those sorts of things and are right across the road. Otherwise (as you no doubt know) there's always the Cascade Meijer or GFS a little further down 28th.

Andy - the last few years we've had an excellent turnout, probably on the order of 25-35 Nissans throughout the day, maybe more. They tend to come in waves, the heaviest being during the times Jason posted. I've already pre-"warned" the dealership that there would likely be some titan guys coming from the east side and that we might need the whole front lot for the gathering

I will definitely be there at some point, but I almost definitely will NOT have my Z with me. I actually might be driving a minivan full of people...

I'm going to try. My wife is new with our first baby on the 30th. So we'll see. She actually brought up the idea of going though. I have a weird clunk going on I need to get at first. Otherwise I'll be there in the Element and not the Z.
